Always happy to draw your attention to new healthy eating products, even if they aren’t our own, Ador has stumbled across a new snack that’s based around the Asian edamame beans.
Available in chocolate or yoghurt-coated varieties, Pod Bites offer a sweet alternative to the increasingly popular savoury version of the edamame used in salads.
So are they as healthy as their manufacturer claims?
Well, they certainly appear to be more nutritious than coated raisins or nuts, containing 35% less fat, 25% more protein and 85% more fibre. However, beware if you’re on a diet, as they only contain 20% fewer calories than their sweet-coated counterparts.
Pod Bites certainly look like they could make a good healthy alternative sweet snack for kids.
