Ador joins the Twitter 1k club

Friday February 12, 2010

Having launched just over three months ago, new healthy eating brand Ador Food has reached a milestone in its social media offering, passing the 1,000 followers mark on Twitter.

By regularly ‘tweeting’ about all things healthy and edible, Ador has clearly fired the imagination of online foodies everywhere. Sending out 140-character messages on everything from the latest food and nutrition news to highlighting the growing resource of recipes and articles on its website, Ador has built a growing Twitter following, while clearly getting across what the brand is all about.

“Although Ador’s products are still only available in the UK, we have attracted quite a lot of interest further afield, particularly in the US,” explained Ador founder and director Franco Beer. “So far the feedback on the product samples we’ve sent out has been really positive.”

Ador’s Twitter activity has also helped to grow visits to the healthy eating brand’s new website to almost 1,000 a month, while also alerting people to Ador’s YouTube channel, recently launched Facebook page and blog.

“We’re hoping to get people taking about food and health on our Facebook discussion groups when we launch them soon,” added Franco. “We’ll also be looking for people to put their nutrition and food-related queries to us so we can help them out.”

Attracting attention
Some of the really positive feedback Ador has received through Twitter is from serial US food blogger Gourmet Girl. “Have you tried any of Ador’s products yet,” she recently tweeted to the world, “Besides outrageous chocolate, great oat bars too. Check ‘em out!”

Ador’s mints have also attracted Gourmet Girl’s attention. “We tried your mints today,” she tweeted. “Love how the flavour lasts until the mint is gone.”
