Looking for nutritional advice to guide her and her new baby safely through breastfeeding, mum of two Hannah Mathews posted a query to Ador’s experts on the healthy eating brand’s new Facebook discussion page.
“Could you please give me some eating/nutrition advice, so that I can meet both the needs of my baby, yet also lose my baby weight?” asked Hannah.
The swift response from one of the Ador team recommended avoiding low calorie food, while describing the main nutritional groups Hannah should be eating, along with examples of a variety of foods in each one.
With regards to losing weight, Hannah was advised: “It’s fine to try to lose the excess baby weight, but remember that you still need to eat well when doing so, because it can take up to two years after having a baby to replenish vitamin and mineral stores.”
